If you are driving, proceed with caution, if you are experimenting with art, it too can get a little scary with a lot of intersecting traffic in your composition. Regardless of the danger, I have been pushing the pedal on the criss-crossy lines in my last couple of art pieces. Contrasting line widths, textures and different ranges of density are a few of the characteristics I have been testing. Not only to see how they interact with each other, but also how it unifies the whole piece when looking upon it from a distance. Up close, you see the intricate details made by the different techniques and applications I use. From far away, the lines direct and navigate your eye around each corner of the composition. Do you get the whole "car theme" I'm going for in this entry? Below are two examples of this type of exploration. Click on the image below to see the work in more detail. These new original pieces are available for purchase. I also have affordable high quality prints in a range of sizes that are available on paper, stretched canvas and more at prints.joshchoemaker.com. Including print options of these new examples as well.
